  1. Pre-Service Programme: D.El.Ed
    • Orientation Programme on the Implementation of CCE for the Lower Primary School Teachers of Gasuapara Block, South Garo Hills
      • Objectives:
        • To make the teachers know and understand about the concept of CCE, its various techniques and tools to be used as well as reporting process.
        • To enable the teachers understand a child’s cognitive, psychomotor and effective skills.
        • To make the teachers understand about the importance of evaluation in the teaching learning process.
        • To help teachers understand about the use of evaluation for improvement of students achievement.
        • To help teachers how to implement CCE Scheme under the provision of RTE ACT, 2009.
      • Target Group:-     Elementary School Teachers

      • Year of conduct of the training:-     2017-18

  2. 2 Days Awareness Programme on Recent Issues: HIV-AIDS, Child Labour, Trafficking, Environmental Degradation, Disaster Management and Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act.
    • Objectives:
      • To help community members understand their role in promoting community development.
      • To enable them to become open and considerate in their thought and behavior and rise above prejudices.
      • To help them to become responsible citizens in their personal and social lives.
      • To develop proper attitude towards one own self and fellow being.
      • To help them contribute to help individuals lead a quality life.
      • To help them keep abreast with the latest issues and challenges that the world is facing.
    • Target Group:-     Community members of Baghmara and Gasuapara Block.

  3. 4 Days Workshop on Education Today Society Tomorrow conducted for Teacher Educators by initiative of change (IOFC) Panchgani, Pune.
    • Objectives: To develop the capacity of the teacher educators as change makers, persons, facilitators and administrators.
    • Target Group:-     Faculty Members of DIET, Baghmara
    • Target No: -     10
    • Orientation Programme on Right to Education with special focus on corporal punishment.
    • Workshop-cum-Orientation on Constructivism and Critical Pedagogy for elementary school teachers
    • Training on Diagnostic Testing and Remedial Teaching in English for Elementary School Teachers.
    • Orientation-cum-Workshop Programme for Elementary Teachers on use of Teaching Aids in the Teaching of Science.
    • Orientation Programme on Value of Work & Dignity of Labour.

  4. On Site Support to Schools: Academic monitoring visits to schools as part of onsite support.
    • Objectives:
      • To provide onsite guidance to the teachers in terms of teaching learning process and other non academic activities of schools.
      • To identify the gaps and provide remedial measures and feedback to schools.
      • To help the teachers carry out their day to day activities in schools in relation to community in a planned process.
      • To carry out academic monitoring as a part of studies/assessment on the practical problems and find out solution to the same.
    • Number of visit: -     1 Block
    • Number of days:     8 days

  5. RESEARCH AND ACTION RESEARCH 2016-17 & 2017-18
    • Research on Co-scholastic Education in Elementary schools of South Garo Hills District: The findings of the research will be disseminated among the educational planners, administrators and teachers to provide facilities for the all-round development of the child taking into account cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains with a view to develop the required skills to create the environment for wholesome personality on the part of each and every student as far as our school system is concerned.
    • Action Research on the problem of learning “Do” and “Does” by the Class V Students at Primary Schools of Rongara Block

    • Documentation of Training Modules: To help the teachers get the ideas techniques and strategies related to various issues of classroom processes.
    • Development of activity book of readiness for pre-primary teachers in mother tongue
